The Airdrie Gaelic Society (AGS) was formed to support the Airdrie Scots Pipes and Drums.

In September  2014 we put the paperwork together to form the Society with the goal of promoting Gaelic culture in and around the Airdrie Region.

The Alberta Summer Games 2014 in Airdrie

Our first promotion is the newly formed Airdrie Scots Pipes & Drums, formed in July.  The ASPD proudly displayed its talents at the opening ceremonies of the Alberta Summer Games. Their next appearance was on the Artember Stage at Nose Creek Park in Airdrie on September 27.

Robbie Burns Dinner, January/February

The Airdrie Gaelic Society, to support the Airdrie Scots Pipe Band, put on a Robbie Burns Dinner in January or February of each year.  The dinner will be an annual event to support not only the Pipe Band, but other projects of the Society.

How You Can Help!

We are seeking sponsors.  The society is always seeking collaboration opportunities with local businesses and individuals.  For example, the band could use a permanent space to call home where they can hold regular practices.
As well, the society is always welcoming new members to help spread the word.
